Kate is a Creative leader based out of her hometown, Brooklyn, NY. She published her first poetry at the age of nineteen, and her prose essay "Forgotten Brooklyn" is taught widely as a standard for creative journalism.
In 2013 Harley Davidson handed Kate a motorcycle and a lofty assignment: ride cross-country and reimagine the road trip. She infiltrated outlaw motorcycle groups, slept in ditches, crossed the United States with one pair of pants and no tent, and produced a few campaigns, Lost Road, She Rides a Harley, and Live Your Legend. Much of this body of work over a 4 year period was honored in the Harley Davidson Museum's cultural exhibitions.
Her film 21 Days Under the Sky was produced by Fox Searchlight. Released in 2016 as a Netflix Original, it has since become the most watched motorcycle film of its time, translated into 13 languages and screened globally. During her time at Fox Searchlight, she sat on the development teams that sold in Ozark and The Great.
Her commercial clients include the National Parks Service, GAP, Triumph Motors, Mattel, Warby Parker, Amazon, TOMs and more.
For 6 years, years Kate directed Creative efforts for Vimeo’s Branded Content & Production teams. She also led Sustainability efforts for Vimeo and sold in the first major strategy to the Executive Board. Reporting in to the VP of Global Creative, Kate scaled the brand team from a two-person army to a 15 person award-winning team. Her team’s award-winning Stories in Place and Small Business series were a significant part of leadership’s positioning for a $4BN valuation when Vimeo IPOed with NASDAQ in 2021.
Kate is currently SVP of Story for Day One Agency a creative agency built for today, and ten years from now. Midsize PR Agency of the year 4 years running, her team oversees earned Creative work for American Express, Haagen Dazs, Sephora, Pacifico, Unilever, and more. She also leads the agency’s Creative Sparks function — the in-house cultural think tank.
When she’s not mining the internet for the next big cultural phenomenon, she’s living life with her husband and two young children, competing in Muay Thai, tinkering and testing out her latest motorcycle project, or baking a whimsical cake to celebrate something.
